Remnant Pentecostal Church leader Pastor Patrick Mugadza will be unveiled as the vice president of the Violet Mariyacha led United Democracy Movement (UDM) tomorrow at 1030hrs.
Mugadza is going to address the public together with UDM publicity officer Gerber Ngwere and party chairperson Eddington Mugova. Mugadza announced that he will be running for the Kariba parliamentary seat under the United Democracy Movement banner in the forthcoming elections. 
Mugadza made waves early last year after he claimed that God had revealed that then President Robert Mugabe was going to die on the 17th of October 2017. He however said that the president’s date of death had been postponed.

Mugabe Death Pastor Patrick Mugadza To Be Unveiled As Opposition Party Vice President

Pastor Patrick Mugadza said that God has changed his mind and postponed the death of President Robert Mugabe following the approach of his 17 October prophecy deadline. Said Mugadza:
<blockquote>About three days ago, I received word from God saying that the death of President Mugabe has been postponed to a later date which is not specific. It’s not like I have been praying so that he goes to prove myself right, but this is the word of God and it has to be delivered as it is.</blockquote>
Below are other political prophecies that fell:
1. Isaac Owusu Bempah
In 2013, reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, founder of Ghana’s Glorious Word Ministry International said that then President John Dramani Mahama, would die later that year. He claimed that he has prophesied the death of the late President John Atta Mills. However Bempah’s prophesy failed as Mahama is still alive.
2.  Austin Liabunya 
Malawian Prophet Austin Liabunya made two prophecies on President Robert Mugabe’s death, each time reassuring people that the incumbent Zimbabwean president would die in 2015.
3. TB Joshua
Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly known as TB Joshua made the prediction that America’s next president would be a woman clearly hinting on a Hillary Clinton presidency. It would go on to be regarded by Nigerian media as TB Joshua’s worst prophecy ever. View the video below:

4.  Elijah Johnson
In 2015, Nigerian prophet Elijah Johnson predicted that Hakinde Hichilema of the United party for National development will emerge victorious on presidential Elections. However Edgar Lungu went on to win the elections.

In January 2017, Remnant Pentecostal Church leader Pastor Phillip Patrick Mugadza said that God had revealed to him that President Robert Mugabe was going to die on 17 October 2017, the day after tomorrow. In this video recorded at his 93rd birthday in February, Mugabe speaks on the so-called prophecy.

Video: Mugabe speaking on Pastor Mugadza's "prophecy" that will die on 17 October 2017

Pastor Patrick Mugadza , who prophesied that President Robert Mugabe would die on October 17 this year was evicted from his one room lodging in Glen View. 
Speaking to Daily News last week, Mugadza said he was stranded following a seven-day notice from his landlady requesting him to vacate a room he was renting together with his wife and two-year-old son, early this month. Said Mugadza:
<blockquote>I was evicted. She said her daughter was coming to use the room. We only realised that she never meant to have her daughter in the room and interestingly, a lady from the president’s office who lived next door laughed when she saw us packing. This is what I have been saying, that the regime really has a hand in my family’s life, that they infiltrated my wife when they locked me away in remand prison that other time. I hope people will begin to notice what the regime is doing.</blockquote>

Pastor Mugadza evicted from Glen View home

Kariba-based Remnant Pentecostal Church leader Pastor Phillip Patrick Mugadza has urged Zimbabweans across the country to join him as he continues demonstrations started by missing human rights activist Itai Dzamara. Mugadza says he will replace Dzamara and continue with Occupy Africa Unity Square, who was abducted by people who are believed to be government agents
Mugadza who staged a one-man demonstration in central Harare on Wednesday said:
<blockquote>Today I am announcing that I am now going to be part and parcel of Occupy Africa Unity Square and I am going to be working with them and I am going to replace Itai Dzamara who was taken by the Junta. I am inviting Zimbabweans who would have missed what Itai was doing here in this square; you are welcome not only to come but also to join.
Zimbabwe needs a lot of Itai Dzamaras who stand up and speak out loudly that what is going on in this country has to stop.
President Mugabe has to step down and he has to go home and it is time for it to be so; he has embedded the nation for long enough and we have to come out all of us to say enough is enough, and the President has failed he has got to go</blockquote>

Pastor Patrick Mugadza who was recently incarcerated for 55 days after he had made a prophecy that President Robert Mugabe was going to die on the 17th of October 2017, has revealed that he is interested in joining active politics and is considering running as an independent.
In an interview with the Daily News, Mugadza said:
<blockquote>I really wouldn’t want to say harbour because at times harbouring is like hiding, it’s like you are not really coming out in the open, I have always wanted to be involved in active politics, because I have realised that if you want to see a change, be involved in the change, be part of it and it is not a sin or a crime to be a politician.
As I have been doing my stuff for the past one year, I have been linking up with a number of political parties, which I may not be able mention right now, but I have realised that in the process of interacting, there were a lot of weaknesses in the process, so I then said to myself I will wait and see where exactly I would fit in. Seriously any time, I will be making a decision as to where I will exactly be belonging. Maybe I will go independent.</blockquote>

I have always wanted to be involved in active politics - Mugabe "death" pastor

Kariba cleric Pastor Patrick Mugadza the man who <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/03/10/high-court-grants-pastor-patrick-mugadza-bail-languishing-almost-8-weeks-remand-prison/" target="_blank">recently spent 55 days at Harare Remand Prison before trial</a>, has said that President Mugabe should not name his own successor as Zimbabwe is a democratic country. Mugadza said that the people have to make their choice because Zimbabwe is not a kingdom or chieftainship.
Speaking to the Daily News, Mugadza said:
<blockquote>I am so much in disagreement with the idea that he has got to name a successor; this is not a chieftainship. We are not a kingdom in any way, so there is no way we can say somebody has to name a successor, for what? Where does that leave the people, if somebody, an individual has got the mandate to name a leader who is going to be leading people? It doesn’t work like that, people have got to be given their chance, people have to do what they are supposed to be doing.
Mugabe says we are a democratic country. It should not be a prerogative of one person to say that so and so must be taking over from me, it doesn’t make sense, who are you?
It’s not on, we are propping him up to think that he is some guy from some universe such that he can name his successor. He should not and he cannot name his successor, people have got to make a choice.</blockquote>

Mugabe should not name a successor, this is not a chieftainship - Pastor Patrick Mugadza

Pastor Patrick Phillip Mugadza who was recently released on bail, has challenged the government to build special “conjugal rights cottages” in jails to allow prisoners to enjoy intimacy with their partners.
Speaking to Daily News Mugadza said these conjugal rights cottages will ensure that homosexual practices are eradicated in prisons. Said Mugadza:
<blockquote>I have seen condoms in prison and I have seen them with inmates. What does that tell you? It means some gay activity is most likely going on in there, although I am told that one can actually have intimacy with a woman in jail,” Mugadza told the Daily News in an interview yesterday. I was told how this can be done and I asked whether my wife could also visit me in prison and they said no. I then began to realise that there is a need for the government to seriously think about this, as even president Mugabe says gays and lesbians are worse than dogs, which is not a very good statement from a leader because from my point of view as a clergyman, everybody was created in the image of God irrespective of what they do. They could be doing a wrong thing but that does not make them dogs at any given point. The best way is to speak to them so that they know what they are doing is wrong. So, if the president is seriously against gay relationships, what does he have to do? He has got to create a situation where he is going to be having what I call ‘conjugal cottages’ in prison. This way, women can visit their husbands there.</blockquote>
Mugadza was arrested after he “prophesied” that Mugabe would die on October 17 this year.
