Victims and survivors of the Proliner accident which killed 31 people when the bus was sideswiped by a haulage truck last month have been urged to approach the company for compensation. Proliner Luxury Coaches has apologised for the accident and reassured people that the company is fully insured.
Proliner spokesperson Mr Gift Katulika said last week:

Proliner Luxury Coaches offers compensation for victims of accident and their survivors

The Civil Protection Unit (CPU) has revealed that three of the people who perished in the Proliner bus crash will receive a mass burial after their remains could not be positively identified. Although the names of the three appeared on the passenger manifesto, their bodies could not be positively identified because they were seriously burnt. Their relatives concurred that they boarded the bus.
They will be buried in a mass grave.

Mass burial for victims of Proliner bus crash who could not be identified

The Zimbabwe Republic Police is advising people who will be going to Gweru Provincial Hospital to identify their relatives who died in the Proliner bus accident to bring with them utensils such as tooth brushes used by the deceased for DNA tests to be conducted.
 
ZRP national spokesperson senior assistant commissioner Charity Charamba said they have been advised by the DNA experts that those coming to identify the bodies should be close relatives who include parents, children, or siblings who include sisters or brothers. 20 people died on Wednesday night following an accident involving a South Africa bound Proliner bus and a haulage truck near the Driefontein Turn Off near Mvuma along the Harare-Masvingo road.
