Susan Mutami who has been trending for claiming <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2021/02/02/he-is-sleeping-with-one-of-his-male-associates-temba-mliswas-alleged-pregnant-ex-lover/">Temba Mliswa is engaged in homophobic affairs</a> and is seeking to end July Moyo, has reportedly made sensational claims that she has a son with the late Foreign Affairs minister Sibusiso Moyo, ZimLive reports.
The publication further alleges that they are in possession of chats in which the Australian based philanthropist claimed she got some cash when the late former army general died. Zimlive reported that:
<blockquote>After Moyo’s death last month from Covid-19, Mutami sent a message to Mliswa claiming that three friends of the former army general had delivered “three sets of US$10k for Tendai,” her four-year-old son.
The money, she claimed, was delivered by “SB’s best friend” identified only as Moris, “who is at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s Financial Intelligence Unit” and “used to be CEO of ZMDC.” A picture accompanying the WhatsApp message is that of Moris Mpofu, once the director of exchange control at the RBZ, now a non-executive director at ZIMRA.
Mutami claims Tendai was the product of a 12-year affair with Moyo, who was married to Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission boss Justice Loice Matanda-Moyo.</blockquote>
The publication further alleged that Mutami claimed that SB Moyo was her first love and a generous man who would do all sort of things for their alleged child:
<blockquote>” Sibusiso himself was there for Tendai’s first ultrasound. He flew me to Singapore so he could see his son, leaving his work while he was still at KG6,” Mutami fumed.
Describing Moyo as “my first love” and “the man that took my virginity,” she said he was also generous, covering the rather huge bill for her baby preparation, including sending her a helper for six months after the child was born.
She claimed Moyo had given her a house for Tendai before his death. Weeks earlier, she had told Mliswa in another WhatsApp message that “I have my own multi-million-dollar properties that are fully paid for, you can ask Sibusiso because he paid for them.”</blockquote>
SB Moyo is obviously not able to answer to these allegations. It is still not clear if these allegations are true or not. We will update this article if new details emerge.

Mliswa's Ex Lover Claims She Has A Son With SB Moyo

State-run paper, The Herald, was forced to retract an article which claimed that the late former Minister of Foreign Affairs, retired Lieutenant-General <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Sibusiso_Moyo">Sibusiso Moyo</a> was part of the <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_People%27s_Revolutionary_Army">Zipra</a> High Command.
The article had sparked controversy with former Zipra commanders and critics pointing out that the claims were misleading as he was nowhere near there. An anonymous former ZIPRA commander said:
<blockquote>When we returned from the war in 1980, SB was young (19), couldn’t be in Zipra High Command. Even <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Elson_Moyo">Elson Moyo</a> (the current Airforce commander) wasn’t there. Elson’s brother (SB’s cousin); Zvafa was head of signals, but he died so Tshinga bounced back.
The truth is that at the Zipra High Command we didn’t even know SB, he was too junior at instructor level. We knew his cousin brother Zvafa, who was the brother to Elson Moyo, current Airforce commander. Guys like <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Philip_Valerio_Sibanda">PV Sibanda</a>, who are senior, were there at deputy command level.</blockquote>
The Herald was then forced to apologise for the misleading claims. <a href="https://twitter.com/HeraldZimbabwe/status/1352331000085409801" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Posting on Twitter</a>, the publication said:
<blockquote>On our front page infographic in yesterday’s issue, we erroneously stated that the late Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister, Lieutenant-General (Retired) Dr Sibusiso Moyo, was a member of the High Command during the liberation war.
We have established that this is not correct and wish to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Herald Apologises For SB Moyo's 'Inaccurate' War Credentials

The government of Zimbabwe has said 11 074 Zimbabwean citizens have so far returned home since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Mr David Musabayana indicated that hundreds of more returnees were expected to arrive adding that the government was preparing for their arrival. He said:
<blockquote>In terms of total returnees, as at the 7th of July, we had 11 074, of those males, are 6 073 and females are 5 001.
The country that has given the most in terms of returnees is South Africa, which has given 5 043 returnees, followed by Botswana with 3 628 and Namibia with 357. From Mozambique, we have had 487 returnees and from Zambia, we had 248.
Outside of Africa, from the United States of America, we have had 263 returnees and a further 241 from Miami, while only 174 have returned from the United Kingdom. From China, we have had 580 returnees.</blockquote>
Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr Sibusiso Moyo said there were over 300 Zimbabweans who were released from various prisons in South Africa and Zimbabwe negotiated that they are kept at the detention centre while necessary arrangements are made for their deportation.
The government recently claimed that scores of Zimbabweans, among them students, were stuck mainly in Asia.

Over 11K Have So Far Returned To Zimbabwe Since The Outbreak Of COVID-19 - Govt

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Economic Trade, Sibusiso Moyo Wednesday said 2 600 Zimbabweans including students on the Presidential Scholarship scheme had registered at various Zimbabwe embassies for repatriation home.
He said most of the students in question are in China while some of them are in India, the United Kingdom, and other parts of Europe, the United States, South Africa and Botswana.
Appearing before the parliamentary portfolio committee on Foreign Affairs chaired by Zanu PF Makonde MP, Kindness Paradza, Moyo said:
<blockquote>
We have many students who are on government scholarships who have registered to come back home as well as other citizens who were out on private business but can no longer pay for the tickets.
Those students cannot pay a ticket on Ethiopian Airlines, the parents cannot also afford to pay for an air ticket.
So we have got this situation where we have got a lot of students stranded in China and the plan is that we have got to evacuate them. We have tried to say that we buy them air tickets but I understand Ethiopian Airways has just increased its price.
</blockquote>
He added that the price of tickets was increased to US$5 000 hence expensive for the broke government. Reports suggest that among the stranded citizens is a senator.
Learning abroad became more attractive a decade ago when the education system in the country collapsed in direct response to the socio-economic and political crises in the country.

Thousands Of Zimbabwean Students On Presidential Scholarship Stranded Abroad

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Sibusiso Moyo, will on Wednesday (today) travel to London, United Kingdom.
Minister Moyo is on a four-day tour whose objective is to strengthen bilateral relations between Zimbabwe and Britain.
He is also expected to give an address to the Global Conference for Media Freedom, which starts this Wednesday and ends on Sunday.
In a statement to the media on Tuesday, the ministry’s spokesperson, Shepherd Gwenzi, said:
<blockquote>The UK foreign secretary Mr Jeremy Hunt and the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Christiana Alexandra Freeland will co-chair the conference.
It will bring together government officials, multilateral agencies, civil society organisations, academics, editors, publishers and journalists.
It’s part of an international campaign to shine a global spotlight on media freedom and increase the cost to those that are attempting to restrict it.
In addition to attending the conference, Dr Moyo will also seek to engage with officials of Her Majesty’s Government with a view to further strengthen Zimbabwe’s bilateral relations with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.</blockquote>

Foreign Affairs Minister Sibusiso Moyo Off To The UK

Sibusiso Moyo, Minister of Foreign Affairs has warned uncooperative business operators who unjustifiably raise commodity. He said their behaviour, if continued, risks attracting government’s compliance measures meant to cushion consumers.
Speaking to the NewsDay last week, Moyo claimed that the ongoing price hikes were a result of indiscipline.He said:
<blockquote>This is a very temporary phenomenon, what we are going through and sometimes also they say in a democracy there must be discipline.
We cannot separate democracy and discipline. If you lack discipline, then what it means is that people would want to maximise on profits, but in reality profits are basically 10-15%. That is not exactly what is happening on the market.
We are saying we must be united in achieving the specific national interests, but if we behave in an undisciplined manner, unfortunately, it will pain a lot of people. We could have ameliorated that particular pain if we were disciplined as a society, as a business, as different sectors of the economy.</blockquote>
Moyo added that although it would be ideal to let market forces determine the prices, the need to protect the consumers will force the government to intervene.  He said:
<blockquote>Definitely, as government we are going to enforce discipline, but what we don’t want was to try and be hard-handed to our people, we want to talk to our people so that they understand that we are together and we are moving in a particular direction.</blockquote>

Government To Enforce Discipline On Business To Cushion Consumers

Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Sibusiso Moyo has called on South African business people to invest in Zimbabwe and take advantage of Special Economic Zones.
While addressing the third bi-annual commission on Zimbabwe and South Africa in Harare on Monday, Moyo said:
<blockquote>I am inviting South African businesses to take advantage of the varied incentives provided for by special economic zones in Zimbabwe. These zones offer incentives that include among others, duty-free importation of capital equipment and tax variables.
The special economic zones that we aim to set up in Zimbabwe’s 10 provinces of Zimbabwe offer opportunities to create Cross broader value tax through partnerships between Zimbabwean companies and South African investors in areas that include mining and engineering, leather, textile and clothing.
A prosperous Zimbabwe makes for a prosperous South Africa and vice versa. As we continue to break new ground within the framework of our bilateral cooperation, I am delighted to note that we have registered tangible progress delivered from our agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) which forms building blocks of our Bi-National Commission.</blockquote>

Govt Offers Incentives To South African Businesses

Warning against sending Zimbabwean students abroad for education with inadequate financial resources It has come to the Ministry’s attention that many Zimbabweans are being arrested, imprisoned and detained in foreign countries for various crimes, ranging from illegal stay, vandalism and illegal employment. Amongst them are some Zimbabwean students who would have been expelled, arrested and deported after failing to pay their tuition on time.
Zimbabwean students studying abroad are facing serious challenges such as the payment of tuition and accommodation due to the financial problems the country is experiencing. Parents have been failing to access the requisite foreign currency to enable them to meet their children’s educational needs on time. Due to these delays, some students have been expelled from universities and their student visas revoked and subsequently detained and deported.
We wish to inform parents and all those intending to study abroad that most universities facilitate the issuance of student visas by the host Immigration Departments based on the period covered by the tuition paid by each student. Some students seek enrolment abroad ignorant of the cost of their living expenses and other costs. Often they assume that life in those countries is very cheap and that they can easily find well-paying part time jobs. When they find that not to be the case, they often undertake illegal activities to supplement their income and often end up being detained and deported.
We wish to warn parents and guardians intending to send their children to study abroad that they should do so only if they have adequate foreign currency to sustain their children for the entire study period. Such an arrangement ensures uninterrupted study for their children.
<h4>Warning against Participation in Drug Trafficking </h4>
On a related issue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade takes the opportunity to conscientise the public of the dangers associated with drug trafficking which carries heavy penalties worldwide. In most Asian countries, this carries the death penalty. The scourge of drug trafficking has become a big challenge on the continent as international traffickers are now using Africa as a transit territory and Africans as drug mules. Zimbabweans are, therefore, called upon not to be duped by fraudsters on the promise of a “quick buck” by being sent to Asia to buy such things as beauty products and cheap textiles since this is just a cover to lure people into drug trafficking.
Those gullible to the criminal schemes are invariably asked to carry ‘baggage’ which contains drugs and end up being arrested on arrival at Asian airports.
<h4>Warning against Bogus Education/Scholarships Agents for Educational Institutions</h4>
The Ministry also wishes to warn Zimbabwean citizens of the proliferation of bogus education/scholarship agents who are fleecing prospective students and their families of their hard earned cash. In the majority of cases, students are promised non-existent scholarships as well as jobs to sustain themselves.
The agents advertise in the Zimbabwean media and/or websites that offer scholarships to Zimbabweans who want to study in foreign countries. In some instances they claim that they offer “part-scholarships”, implying that parents or guardians have to meet the other costs. There are cases when prospective students are denied visas after having paid all or part of the tuition and accommodation fees.
Citizens should be wary of such promises and verify the authenticity of the purported scholarships with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology Development,the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade or our Embassies abroad before undertaking foreign study.
The Ministry strongly advises parents and the general public to take serious heed of these warnings.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, retired Lieutenant General Sibusiso Moyo has said that Zimbabwe was going to experience the end of total restrictions as the government is working hard on fixing relationships. Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony, Moyo said,
<blockquote>We are looking forward to ending isolation of Zimbabwe from the international community so that the country can participate within the global affairs of this international arena…We are going to experience the end of total restrictions which has been surrounding this country for some time and we believe that we are going to learn to unlearn all the wrong things which we have had before as we move forward but the key issue is that Zimbabwe is one for business.</blockquote>

In an interview with The Chronicle on the sidelines of the 38th Sadc Summit underway in Windhoek, Namibia, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Sibusiso Moyo said Government regrets the loss of 6 lives after soldiers opened fire on protesters on August 1.
He said the whole incident is not characteristic of Zimbabwe. Said Moyo:
<blockquote>Let me assure you that the President and his Cabinet including the entire new dispensation actually regrets the incident of 1 August because that is not characteristic of Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe we want is the Zimbabwe that demonstrated itself on the 30th of July. What came out on the first of August is not the Zimbabwe we want and has never been part of our embedded values.</blockquote>

Mnangagwa And His Cabinet Regret Shooting Of Protesters By Soldiers: SB Moyo

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, retired Lieutenant-General Sibusiso Busi (S.B) Moyo has claimed that the government is working on allowing Zimbabweans outside the country to vote in the 2018 harmonised elections. However, the Minister was careful to state that, the government is currently incapacitated to ensure that all Zimbabweans who are based outside Zimbabwe can vote.
Speaking to Bloomberg TV in New York, where the Minister is currently courting potential investors, Moyo said
<blockquote>The constitution allows them to do so but for now, we are still working on the logistics, we are still incapacitated to make sure all Zimbabweans in the capitals of the world are able to vote.</blockquote>
This is in line with what President Emmerson Mnangagwa position. Mnangagwa has consistently said that Zimbabwe does not have the capacity to facilitate the diaspora vote. Mnangagwa was criticised for stating that <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2018/03/28/come-back-home-if-you-want-to-vote-we-do-not-have-resources-mnangagwa-tells-diaspora/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Zimbabweans outside the country must come back home to vot</a>e despite the fact that the <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2018/03/16/no-joy-for-diaspora-voters-as-concourt-reserves-judgement/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Constitutional Court is yet to make a decision on the matter.</a>

Zimbabwe Is Incapacitated To Allow Diaspora Vote: S.B. Moyo

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Retired Lieutenant-General Sibusiso Busi Moyo has said that the country’s embassies must perform and justify their existence. Moyo confirmed that the government was going to rationalise the diplomatic missions as was announced by Finance and Economic Planning Minister Patrick Chinamasa in the 2018 Budget. Said Moyo:
<blockquote>We are reviewing the position of all embassies and it’s high time they must perform in a measurable manner. The government incurs a lot of costs in running embassies so they must justify their existence. Embassies Must Justify Their Existence: General Moyo

Minister of Foreign Affairs retired Major-General Sibusiso Moyo revealed his foreign policy agenda at a briefing for diplomats accredited to Zimbabwe on Thursday afternoon. In his address to the journalists, Moyo said that President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government was guaranteeing free, fair and credible elections which will have zero tolerance for political violence in 2018. He also warned the ambassadors to make sure that their countries did not become both players and referees in next year’s elections by being partisan.
The minister talked of international cooperation and mutual respect saying that Zimbabwe was not going to lecture anyone and neither was it going to accept being lectured to. This may have been a reference to the United States of America and the European Union. Both the USA and EU have said that Zimbabwe is not going to get any major financial support unless it implements various electoral and democratic reforms. Said the minister:
<blockquote>We must respect one another.</blockquote>
Moyo said that his mandate was economics and diplomacy. He emphasized that Zimbabwe was willing to engage with other countries and called for counties which had differences with Zimbabwe in the past to bury the hatchet. Said Moyo:
<blockquote>Zimbabwe belongs to the family of nations. Let’s bury our past differences.</blockquote>
The general also said that Zimbabwe was willing to partner with other countries to ensure that it reaches its full economic potential. He reassured the ambassadors that any investments made in Zimbabwe will be safe and will be protected.
<blockquote>We shall continue to partner your nations in the mutual exploitation of our mineral wealth. ….Our manufacturing, tourism and services sector are open to international investors so to create jobs.
We value your participation in the economy and we shall ensure your investments are safe and we will honour all agreements in terms if the law. The right to property shall be respected.</blockquote>

We Will Hold Free, Fair, Transparent Elections With No Political Violence: General SB Moyo Tells Diplomats

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Retired Major General Sibusiso Moyo has criticised the three Zimbabweans who appeared before the United States Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee, Tendai Biti, Dewa Mavhinga and Peter Godwin. The general said that it would take longer than two weeks to undo the damage of 37 years. Moyo added that there was no need to invite foreign referees as people were free to choose their leaders through the ballot box. Here is part of his statement.
<blockquote>Zimbabwe’s new government has been in office for shorter than two weeks [and] it is staggering that these gentlemen should have expected the deeds of 37 years to be corrected and livelihoods improved in such a short time.
As if that myopia was not enough, the trio and others requested their American hosts for more of the same policies which have inflicted suffering on our people. How could any serious putative future leader of our country ask that ZIDERA remains in place?
All of us should be working to revive our economy, till our fertile soil and trade more competitively so that we all realise better health delivery, education and improved welfare in general.
There is no need to invite outside referees whose own fate has no relationship to ours. Let us advance our political goals without inviting punitive measures by strangers on our fellow citizens
Any leadership changes can, therefore, be gotten at the ballot box. There is no need to go abroad and seek assistance to further harm one’s own country. All Zimbabweans are free to canvas for political fortunes of their choice. Let us do this without reversing the promise of our new dawn. All nations of goodwill are invited to assist us to regain our position in the family of nations, not as beggars but, as a prospering and vibrant democracy.</blockquote>

General S.B Moyo Slams Biti, Mavhinga, Godwin For Testifying Before US Senate, Says 37 Years Damage Cannot Be Corrected In 2 Weeks

Speaking during the graduation ceremony of 63 Platoon Commanders, who graduated at the All Arms Battle School in Nyanga, Chief of Staff Quartermaster of the Zimbabwe National Army, Major- General Sibusiso Moyo urged army officers to pursue academic studies.
Said Major General Moyo:
<blockquote>In addition to the military training that you have done, may I in earnest advise you strongly to pursue, seriously, academic studies in various fields. This will help you improve human capital intelligence which if welded with military qualifications, will make you an officer par excellence worthy of a contemporary military officer in the ZDF.</blockquote>
Major General Moyo also applauded the curriculum that the graduates undertook which he found to be very comprehensive and befitting for the graduates.

Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) spokesperson Major-General Sibusiso B Moyo thanked Zimbabweans for being disciplined yesterday during their marching. 
Said Major-General Moyo:
<blockquote>Ndauya kuzotenda nerutsigiro rwenyu rwamaita kumauto enyu eZimbabwe. Rambai makadaro nerutsigiro irworwo. Mauto enyu navanhu zvakafanana, saka tinotenda chaizvo nezvamaita nhasi. Nyaya yamaratidza yediscipline, kuzvibata nekuterera kwaratidza nyika yese kuti vanhu vemuZimbabwe vakafunda.</blockquote>
Maj-Gen Sibanda said the ZDF’s mission was still in progress and such efforts could not be completed in a day. Said Major General Sibanda:
<blockquote>Takatarisira kuti pakufamba rwendo, pakufamba hatingafambe rwendo rwese nezuva rimwe chete. Zvoto zvinodziiwa pakasiyana siyana.</blockquote>
