Evelyn Joshua, the widow of Nigerian televangelist Temitope Balogun Joshua better known as TB Joshua has said she was not surprised by the preacher’s death.
Joshua died on Saturday evening from an undisclosed ailment.
Evelyn Joshua said the death of the late founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations Prophet Temitope Joshua was an act of God.
Addressing officials from the government on Wednesday, Evelyn said:
<blockquote>_What happened was an act of God. There is time for everything, like my husband would say. That was the word I knew from him very well. This is the job he was known for. This is what he was living for. That is what he was going to die for._
_So, it didn’t come to me as a surprise. I wasn’t surprised when it happened. As we all know, he was in service that day. So, that’s it._</blockquote>
Following her husband’s death on Saturday evening at the age of 57, Evelyn took to social media to express her grief over the sudden death of her husband.  She said it was never easy to lose a loved one.
According to<a href="https://todaynigerianews.com/i-am-not-surprised-by-my-husbands-death-tb-joshuas-wife/" rel="noopener" target="_blank"> TodayNigerianNew</a>s, TB Joshua was popular in many African and South American countries where he often held religious crusades.
He was one of Africa’s most influential preachers with millions of television and social media followers. More than 15 000 people from Nigeria and abroad attended his Sunday services.
He was also noted for making predictions, claims to cure various ailments and to make people prosper through miracles.

TB Joshua who died on Saturday, June 5, after a live broadcast, is reported to have been one of the wealthiest pastors in Nigeria.
Website Glusea, which ranks the net worth of celebrities, among others, says the Synagogue Church of All Nations founder owned a private jet worth US$60 million and a fleet of luxury cars.

Televangelist TB Joshua's Net Worth Revealed

The late Temitope Balogun Joshua, who was one of Nigeria’s most controversial and wealthiest preachers, made several prophecies during his decades-long ministry.
Joshua’s followers believed that he had an uncanny ability to foretell the future with unparalleled accuracy and have pointed out what they consider his prophecies that were fulfilled.
However, the late megachurch pastor’s critics dismissed him as a charlatan who preyed on people’s desperation and gullibility to line his pockets.
Pindula News has revisited some of the prophecies which Joshua’s church, the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) claimed he made.
Michael Jackson’s death
Michale Jackson, “the King of Pop” died on the 25th of June 2009 and <a href="https://www.scoan.org/blog/2009/07/15/how-tb-joshua-predicted-michael-jacksons-death/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">according to SCOAN international</a>, Joshua had predicted the death on 12 June.
Joshua reportedly called Tee Mac, the immediate past president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) during his birthday celebration on June 12 and informed him to bring Michael Jackson to Nigeria. Said Tee Mac:
<blockquote>On June 12, I went to the Synagogue to wish him a happy birthday and played some flute for the guests, but the Man of God did not come down to the party.
He called me up to his private office. There we discussed the PMAN problem and he told me to bring Marlon Jackson, Michael to Nigeria.
He stated that Michael needs urgent help, medical and deliverance. I replied that Michael has just passed a medical test before the events managers would sign him for the 50 shows, but Prophet T.B. Joshua insisted that Michel must come to Nigeria to the Synagogue for treatment and that this was a very serious situation.</blockquote>
According to SCOAN, on the 14th of June, Joshua told the congregation about the impending death of the pop star. Tee Mac said he was shocked when the news of Michael Jackson’s death was announced and got more shocked when he went to the Synagogue church the next Sunday only to have the video of the prophesy played to him.
Zambia’s historic AFCON win in 2012
Barely a few hours before Zambia won the AFCON match in 2012,<a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20120224014016/http://www.zimeye.org/?p=46696" rel="noopener" target="_blank"> Joshua reportedly prophesied the nation’s historic victory.</a>
Video footage posted by SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria on YouTube showed Joshua talking on Sunday 12th February 2012, several hours before the match between Zambia and Ivory Coast was due to start. He said:
<blockquote>I know you have a game now which you want to watch. Today is the final and you want me to talk about it.
Yes, this blessing is for a country you are not expecting; this victory is for a country you are not expecting.
God wants to make them happy because of the victims of what happened to them in the past. Yes, this is joy; everybody will celebrate.
That will make them forget about the past record of what happened to the same country… This is a day of forgetting, and dancing!</blockquote>
The last time Zambia reached the AFCON final in 1994, was just a year after 18 members of Zambia’s national football team died tragically in a plane crash in Libreville, Gabon.
In the 2012 final, Zambia were considered underdogs when they took on the mighty Ivory Coast then led by Chelaselegend Didier Drogba but triumphed on penalties. Said Joshua:
<blockquote>God showed me the first and second halves. In the second half at 25 minutes, there is a mistake… Even if you have the opportunity to enter the television where they are playing, you would enter and flog the player, ‘Why didn’t you score this thing?’
You will face the goalkeeper and play it out, over the bar. Face to face with the goalkeeper and you now play it outside.
Is that not a big mistake? That is the goal that would have given you the Cup. Now, it is taken to the other side.</blockquote>
In the 70th minute, the 25th minute of the second half, Drogba missed a penalty after he skied his effort over the bar.
The disappearance of the Coronavirus
Speaking before his congregation on Sunday, March 15, 2020, <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/03/27/t-b-joshuas-credibility-on-the-line/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Joshua claimed that the disease will go away by itself,</a> without medicine or a cure. He told his church:
<blockquote>I came out at the beginning of this year saying last year will end in March and the year will continue to be very fearful till this month [March].
This month 27th, it will be over. By the end of this month, whether we like it or not – no matter the medicine they might have produced to cure whatever, it will go the way it came.
If it is not a medicine that brought this to the world, medicine cannot take it out. It will go the way it came.</blockquote>
Hillary Clinton’s victory in U.S. Presidential Elections
In 2016 Joshua <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-37924086" rel="noopener" target="_blank">predicted that Hillary Clinton would win</a> the US presidential election.
Joshua told his congregation during Sunday service that he “saw” a woman winning. He said:
<blockquote>Ten days ago I saw the new president of America with a narrow win. The new president will be facing several challenges over many issues, including passing bills, attempts to possibly pass a vote of no confidence on the new President. The boat of the new president will be rocked.
By the way, in order not to keep you in suspense, what I frankly saw is a woman.</blockquote>
The video and Facebook post were however deleted from the church’s accounts after Donald Trump defeated Clinton.
Joshua made several other prophecies over the years including the impending death of an African president which his followers said concerned the former president of Malawi Bingu wa Mutharika who died in 2012, aged 78.
SCOAN also released a video claiming that TB Joshua predicted the Malaysia Airlines MH370  which disappeared on 8 March 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to its planned destination, Beijing Capital International Airport. To date, the plane has not been accounted for.
The prophecy received a lot of attention on social media and its accompanying YouTube video amassed over 1 million views.

TB Joshua Prophecies: Here Are Some Predictions You May Have Missed

The late Nigerian megachurch pastor and televangelist Temitope Joshua was conducting a church service when he suddenly felt uncomfortable and left the meeting for his apartment, The Nation reports.
TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), passed away around 2 am, hours after he walked to his apartment midway into the service, presumably to get some rest, The Nation cited sources as saying.
The cleric was born on 12 June 1963 and died six days to his 58th birthday.
Joshua reportedly had walked out of the church to his apartment when he felt uncomfortable during the service that commenced around 6 pm on Saturday.
His aides and members thought he was going for a quick break but became anxious when he didn’t return after a long time.
When he did not return, his aides went to check on him but found him in an uncomfortable/unusual position.
A former aide and close family friend of the late cleric told The Nation close relatives and friends were protecting and consoling his wife.
Although the cause of death was not disclosed, the source said the entire place is to be “sanitised”.
Joshua had reportedly had asked most of his aides to work from home because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The source was quoted as saying:
<blockquote>Those who were left with him were mostly some Britons, a few personal aides, who lived in the premises.
I got a call around 2 am that Senior Prophet was dead. I had to quickly get in touch with his family and it was confirmed.
We do not really have details now but I can tell you he was ministering when he suddenly took ill and left the church to rest.</blockquote>
Confirming Joshua’s death, Lagos Police Commissioner (CP) Hakeem Odumosu said he was officially pronounced dead by a hospital around 3 am. Odomuso said:
<blockquote>It is true he is dead. I do not know the cause of his death yet. But the information we have is that he was conducting service, along the line, he felt uncomfortable, walked to his apartment himself and never came back.
His people thought he probably wanted to rest or refresh but when they didn’t see him after a long while, they went in search of him and found him in an unusual position.
The service started in the evening. But it was around 3 am that he was pronounced dead by a hospital.</blockquote>
The church said Joshua’s last words to his members were “watch and pray.” He was said to have also reminded them there was time for everything before he left the church hall.

Some local preachers have expressed sorrow <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2021/06/06/nigerian-televangelist-t-b-joshua-dies/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">over the death of well-known Nigerian pastor and televangelist, Temitope Balogun Joshua</a>, popularly known as TB Joshua who died on Saturday evening at the age of 57.
TB Joshua who was the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) died a week before celebrating his 58th birthday after completing his sermon.
The cause of the death has not been revealed but some reports claim the celebrity preacher had been unwell for two days.
Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD) leader Walter Magaya told his congregation that he had learnt a lot of things from his father, TB Joshua.
He said although TB Joshua was Nigerian, his life was also being celebrated in Zimbabwe because he had worked hard and was influential. On a post on Yadah TV channel, Prophet Magaya said:
<blockquote>Our life is like a book. There are different chapters that we have we have to go through. This one has the name ‘Pain of Life’.
As much as he is in heaven, I still wanted him here. I love you father senior prophet, TB Joshua. Who will father me now?
You started Yadah Tv for me and always did guide me. Who will call me at 2 am and say correct this and that?</blockquote>
Uebert Angel also posted on Facebook and described TB Joshua’s death as a painful homegoing. He wrote:
<blockquote>You are a general who set many things in place that generations will continue to copy. As a dear senior Prophet, friend, a Christian brother, a father to many, a prophetic example to me.
Though senior in every way to me, every time we spoke you would be so humble and regarded not your seniority over me, but allowed me time to hear your mind and your humble spirit.
The only thing I have managed or believe I have managed to process this loss is to immortalise your prophetic words you said yesterday after service as you indicated of your own home going, back to the father.</blockquote>
TB Joshua is survived by his wife Evelyn and three children.

Magaya, Angel Mourn TB Joshua

Prominent Nigerian Televangelist Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly known as T.B. Joshua has died.
T.B. Joshua died in Lagos on Saturday, June 5 evening. He was 57 at the time of his death.
The cleric’s death was announced on his Facebook page in a statement on Sunday morning. The statement read:
<blockquote>PROPHET TB JOSHUA – JUNE 12th 1963 to JUNE 5th 2021
“Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7
On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”
God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.
As Prophet TB Joshua says, “The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it”.
Prophet TB Joshua leaves a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn.
The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations and Emmanuel TV Family appreciate your love, prayers and concern at this time and request a time of privacy for the family.

A cause of death has not been revealed so far. However, T.B. Joshua’s friend Femi Fani-Kayode shed some light on his death and confirmed the news. He said:

Nigerian Televangelist T.B Joshua Dies

TB Joshua has addressed his botched prophesy in which he claimed the Coronavirus pandemic would end on 27 March 2020. The religious leader said the Holy Spirit gave him the message that the pandemic would end on 27 March, The Daily Sun reports.
During an interview on his own TV, Emmanual TV the preacher addressed his controversial prophecy and said;
<blockquote>I am not a politician, I just have to give you the message as the Spirit gave it to me</blockquote>
Meanwhile, Joshua has also claimed COVID-19 is a failure in advanced technology adding fuel to the COVID-19 5G conspiracy theories that have overtaken the world.

Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as TB Joshua, arrived in Harare last night in a private jet and was booked at the Rainbow Towers Hotel. The full programme of his visit is yet to be released with Walter Magaya’s close aide, overseer Admire Mango, confirming the pre-Easter crusade with the two clerics.
Joshua will address Magaya’s PHD Ministries followers at the Freedom Square (Robert Mugabe) adjacent to Rainbow Towers Hotel, Harare at 9:30am today.
