Zimbabwe’s ambassador to Mozambique, Victor Matemadanda, has denied reports of protests in Mozambique related to the disputed October 9 elections.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) at the New Parliament in Mt Hampden on Wednesday, November 20, Matemadanda stated that what is being described as protests are actually looting syndicates targeting supermarkets. He said:
<blockquote>
The Mozambican people are clever and they know they have won an election.
They are not worried and are not losing sleep. I did not see what you call a demonstration.
I have seen only people who are organised to commit crimes by looting. Why are you demonstrating in a supermarket?
That is what they are doing and after picking what they want, they disappear.
</blockquote>
Matemadanda said the general atmosphere in Mozambique was peaceful and denied claims that Zimbabweans voted in the Mozambique elections. He said:
<blockquote>
I have never come across a person who voted in Mozambique.
I was moving around and I did not see anyone. Those videos you are seeing are fake.
</blockquote>
The Mirror reported that hundreds of Zimbabweans, including two of its journalists, participated in the Mozambique elections at a polling station in Masvingo.
Mozambique’s FRELIMO party has successfully campaigned in Zimbabwe, while the Zimbabwean opposition faces challenges in securing clearance for election rallies.
Since 2004, Mozambicans living in Zimbabwe, as well as in countries like South Africa, Malawi, Portugal, Zambia, and Tanzania, have been able to vote in Mozambique’s general elections from their resident countries.

Matemadanda Says Looting, Not Protests, Behind Mozambique Unrest

Zimbabwe’s ambassador to Mozambique, Victor Matemadanda, has reacted angrily after being snubbed for the central committee (CC) position in the Midlands province.
This comes after Matemadanda, a former ZANU PF political commissar, had initially turned down an invitation from some party officials in the province to contest for a position in the CC for Gokwe saying he wanted to give others a chance since he was working outside the country.
ZANU PF DCC chairperson Tawanda Karikoga reportedly persuaded him to participate and Matemadanda eventually agreed, according to <a href="https://www.newsday.co.zw/local-news/article/200002115/matemadanda-blasts-zanu-pf-midlands-leadership">NewsDay</a> An anonymous source said:
<blockquote>
After Matemadanda had consulted, he agreed to take part. However, towards the elections, he was told that he failed to make the grade to represent Gokwe in the Central Committee and they had opted for (allies of former Security minister, Owen) Ncube and this irked the ambassador.
</blockquote>
However, in responding to the fiasco, Matemadanda singled Karikoga out to express his displeasure. Matemadanda said in an audio to Karikoga acquired by NewsDay:
<blockquote>
I am what l am, not because of an accident but because l have invested in this thing called Zanu PF and l even invested in my own education which no one is going to take away from me. I have worked hard for who and what l am. l am not at that level which you want to put me. Please respect me.
I am disappointed that my name is being put into denigration for no apparent reason. You (Karikoga) approached me asking me to stand in the CC. In fact, your words were that you as Gokwe had decided that you put me in the CC and l refused, telling you that I wanted to go give others a chance. You persuaded me until I consulted.
After consulting, I came back and I have the communication. You persuaded me and I then said yes but I told you that I don’t want to block anyone and now you are having a rally to insult me for what you invited me for?
</blockquote>
On Friday, last week Zanu PF leaders in the province held a rally at Gokwe Centre which was graced by Ncube, Provincial chairperson Larry Mavhima, and Karikoga among other senior party leaders at which they allegedly attacked Matemadanda.
NewsDay reports that the Ncube camp also castigated the recently elected legislator for Gokwe Central Davison Masvisvi and councillor for Ward 1 Sesame Davis Taruvinga, for allegedly working with Matemadanda.

Matemadanda Responds Angrily After Being Snubbed For ZANU PF's CC Position In Midlands

Former Zanu PF political commissar Victor Matemadanda has warned Zanu PF provincial and DCC chairpersons against taking unconstitutional and unprocedural actions and decisions.
Matemadanda was reportedly told that he was no longer party commissar and deputy defence minister by President Emmerson Mnangagwa during a politburo meeting on Thursday.
But in a move that could be interpreted as defiance to Mnangagwa’s decision to fire him, Matemadanda on Friday co-signed a Zanu PF circular to all provincial and DCC chairpersons, telling State media that the circular was meant to clip the wings of some officials who were being overhasty.
Among the other co-signatories to the circular is Zanu PF National Chairperson Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri and Secretary for Administration Obert Mpofu.
Matemadanda was recently quoted telling party structures that Zanu PF was behind the decimation of the MDC Alliance led by Nelson Chamisa.
In his address to party structures in Marondera last week, Matemadanda said:
<blockquote>As we speak, the MDC Alliance is going down. This is because the likes of Chamisa unscrupulously rose to power.
The party is melting like a burning candle. We are not yet through (with them); very soon we will be announcing what we call big names. They are coming back home.
Now he (Chamisa) is crying accusing Zanu PF of being behind his demise.
Do you think that we liberated this country to surrender it? If that is the case, then we need to be examined by psychiatrists.
Do you think that we missed a greater part of our youth days liberating this country to donate it?
Are we donors? We will defend ourselves.</blockquote>
The Gokwe Central MP is now set to be reassigned to head a diplomatic mission. Presidential spokesperson George Charamba said:
<blockquote>Matemadanda was not fired, but he has been reassigned for a higher responsibility out of the country.
A number of our embassies have no representatives, hence there is a need to fill in those vacant posts.</blockquote>

Matemadanda To Be Re-assigned To The Diplomatic Service

Zanu PF has reportedly demoted Victor Matemadanda from the political commissar post over incompetence and his <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2021/03/23/we-did-not-liberate-this-country-to-surrender-it-matemadanda-sensationally-declarers/">recent reckless remarks on the decimation of the opposition MDC Alliance.</a>
Nehanda Radio reports that Matemadanda’s demotion was announced during the ruling party’s Politburo meeting held at its headquarters in Harare this Thursday.
Nehanda Radio’s sources claimed that Matemadanda was been fired because of his failure to conduct the recently held District Coordinating Committee (DCC) elections and the “reckless” statements he made claiming Zanu PF was responsible for crippling the main opposition MDC Alliance.
Speaking at the  Zanu PF Mashonaland East provincial co-ordinating committee meeting in Marondera on Sunday, Matemadanda took numerous jabs at MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa, including saying his party is melting like a candle and they (the ruling party) are not yet done.
This comes as a number of MDC Alliance members have been defecting either to the ruling ZANU PF or rival MDC Alliance while the party’s Members of Parliament are being recalled from Parliament.
Nehanda Radio was told that the Deputy Minister of Defence and War Veterans Affairs walked out of the politburo meeting at the time his demotion was announced.
The demotion means Matemadanda will no longer be involved or participate in the politburo, Zanu PF’s highest decision-making body.
The Children of Zimbabwe War Veterans Association (COZWVA) claimed on Twitter that Matemadanda has been redeployed to be the new Zimbabwe ambassador to Mozambique. Added COZWVA:
<blockquote>This automatically means he is No longer the NPC and deputy minister.</blockquote>
Nehanda Radio reports that ambassador Chris Mutsvangwa, husband to the county’s Information Minister Monica is likely to take over as Matemadanda’s successor.

ZANU PF Fires Matemadanda From Commissariat Post

Zanu PF Political Commissar Victor Matemadanda has said Zanu PF will unveil MDC Alliance “big names” that will defect to the ruling party, Newsday reports.
Matemadanda seemingly celebrated what he called the demise of the MDC Alliance and said the party is melting like a burning candle and they were not even done with what they were seemingly doing. Said Matemadanda:
<blockquote>As we speak, MDC Alliance is going down. This is because the likes of Chamisa unscrupulously rose to power.
The party (opposition) is melting like a burning candle. We are not yet through (with them); very soon we will be announcing what we call big names. They are coming back home.</blockquote>
Matemadanda then said the recent defections were an asset to the party as they are already working:
<blockquote>Those who are coming should work for the party. For example, Timveos has invaded Zvishavane and is doing well that side. Zvishavane is roaring.</blockquote>
Matamadanda was speaking at the back of the recent defections of Lilian Timveos and James Makore who were members of the MDC Alliance to the ruling party Zanu PF.

The Deputy Minister for Defence and War Veterans Affairs, Victor Matemadanda, has returned to work after reports which suggested he was has been unwell since the 1S of November 2020.
The ZANU PF political commissar was at some point last week hospitalised following a sudden illness amid reports that he had been poisoned.

Matemadanda toured Harare Central Business District (CBD) on foot, interacting with Hararians listening to their concerns.
He was accompanied by ZANU PF provincial chairman, Goodwills Masimirembwa.
His appearance follows <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/11/22/full-text-zanu-pf-statement-on-matemadanda-s-illness/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">a statement by the ruling party ZANU PF</a> in which indicated that Matemadanda’s sudden illness was accompanied by itchiness of eyes, sweating profusely, swelling of the body and vomiting badly, resulting in him rushing for medical attendance.

ZANU PF Political Commissar, Victor Matemadanda has said that the ruling party enjoys having the opposition MDC as the opposition but does not wish to see the party go extinct.
He said that reason must prevail within the MDC so that they resolve their issues amicably without pointing fingers at the ruling party which “is not the source of the MDC’s problems.”
Matemadanda was speaking after MDC and Zengeza West legislator,<a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/05/08/look-at-my-face-and-tell-me-im-joking-sikhala-vows-to-deal-with-ed-again/"> Job Sikhala on Thursday vowed to “deal with President Mnangagwa for interfering with MDC’s internal affairs.”</a>

"We Enjoy Having MDC As Opposition, But We Don't Wish Them Dead" - ZANU PF

Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Defence, Victor Matemadanda has said that it is in the best interest of the nation to place Zimbabweans in the diaspora in strategic positions to turn around the country’s fortunes.
Matemadanda who is also the Political Commissar for the ruling ZANU PF said that the citizens in the diaspora have the much-needed exposure to other cultures and other systems of governance which can be essential in the transformation of the country.
He said that the first step would be to lookinto the database to establish who can do what for better integration into the Zimbabwean community.

Zim Govt Speaks On "Placing Citizens In The Diaspora In Strategic Positions" Post COVID-19

The ruling ZANU PF has said that it will use all means necessary and unnecessary to stay in power. These remarks were said by party Political Commissar Victor Matemadanda who is also the Deputy Minister of Defence. He said:
<blockquote>We will use any means necessary to defend the revolution.
If elections fail we will use any other means necessary.</blockquote>
Matemadanda’s remarks come when the opposition MDC led by Nelson Chamisa and the governing party have a standoff with the former accusing the latter of rigging 2018 elections.
The sentiments also risk bringing to remembrance the horror memories of 2008 of violence allegedly by ZANU PF which was accused of beating, displacing and killing members of the opposition party just before the runoff elections.

"If Elections Fail We'll Use Any Other Means Necessary,” - ZANU PF

The ruling ZANU PF party is targeting to recruit 5 million members by 2023 so that it’s presidential candidate attains at least 65 per cent of the vote.
This was said by Zanu-PF national political commissar <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Victor_Matemadanda" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Victor Matemadanda</a> while addressing party members in Bulawayo during the announcement of District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) election results at Davies Hall on Sunday. He said:
<blockquote>We have a target as the commissariat and Zanu-PF that by 2023 we want to have built or developed our membership to not less than 5 million registered voters.
We are saying the vote of the President that we expect will not be less than 65 per cent.
Right now, we are having this noise due to the number of votes that were received by the President. We no longer want the President’s vote to be almost similar to any other candidate.</blockquote>
In the 2018 elections, the ZANU PF candidate <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Emmerson_Mnangagwa" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Emmerson Mnangagwa</a> polled 50,8 per cent of the vote while his closest challenger <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Nelson_Chamisa" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Nelson Chamisa</a> of the MDC Alliance won 44 per cent.
The fact that Mnangagwa avoided a run-off by the skin of his teeth has prompted the commissariat to boost the party’s numbers to avoid such a scenario from happening again.

ZANU PF In 5 Million Members Recruitment Drive

Deputy Minister for Defence and War Veterans Affairs Victor Matemadanda said sanctions are meant to make people revolt against the Zanu-PF government.
He also appealed to war veterans in Mashonaland Central Province to explain to the people how sanctions are hurting everyone before they join a protest march to the United States Embassy. The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) is organising a march to the US Embassy in Harare against sanctions that were extended by US President Donald Trump by another year. Sanctions Meant To Make People Revolt Against Government- Matemadanda

Deputy Minister for Defence and War Veterans Affairs Victor Matemadanda said that soldiers were this week deployed school gates in order to protect school children from thugs who would want to scare them.
He said this while responding to Mashonaland East Senator Jane Chifamba who has asked why soldiers had been deployed at school gates. Said Matemadanda:
<blockquote>Unlike the initial Lancaster House Constitution, which was written by people who represented the political opinion, the Constitution we have now was written by people.
It says if police fail to control the security situation in the country, then they can request aid from soldiers. So soldiers do not deploy themselves, they are deployed by the police at schools to remove thugs troubling school children where the police feel they cannot contain the situation.</blockquote>
The country has been experiencing uneasy normalcy after the government deployed troops in full force across the country to deal with violent protests that broke in January after a massive fuel price hike.

Soldiers Were Deployed At School Gates To Remove Thugs From Troubling School Children - Matemadanda

The secretary general of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWA) Victor Matemadanda has lambasted a group of war veterans that demonstrated in Harare recently against his leadership.
The war veterans, who were led by Fredrick Ngombe, made staggering demands, which included monthly gratuities of $2 000 each. Some of the protesting veterans berated Matemadanda for being bogus and having no interests of the war veterans at heart.
In his response to the allegations made against him by the War Veterans Welfare Committee, as the group calls itself, Matemadanda said
<blockquote>I cannot be vetted in the street. If I am not a war veteran, the association has a procedure of vetting its members, not a few rogue people demonstrating in the street. I was never imposed on the war veterans. I was voted for in Masvingo and before I became secretary-general, I was in the war veterans’ commissariat under the leadership of Jabulani Sibanda (former ZNLWVA leader). So all the years, they were electing someone who is not a war veteran?
They are also financed by a war veteran who is bitter that I refused to protect him from his rape case when he wanted to be an MP. The rapist pours in a lot of money for anything against Matemadanda. I have text messages when he was asking for protection and the time will come for me to let the cat out of the bag.

Now they lie that I am not representing their interest, but no one ever came to my office telling me about those interests. Where can the government get the $2 000 per month when it is struggling to buy medicines, repair roads, among other issues?</div>

Matemadanda Scolds War Veterans For Demanding $2 000 Monthly Salaries

Deputy Minister of Defence and War Veterans Victor Matemadanda has said that the government is willing to finance income-generating projects for war veterans from the former Zimbabwe People’s Revolutionary Army (Zipra). Matemadanda, however, said that government is not willing to give the war veterans cash payments because they recipients may blow the money and leave nothing for their families. Said Matemadanda,
<blockquote>Some of you sometime got Z$50 000 and cannot show what you did with that money. If given the money, what if you die? Will your children benefit? I will not tolerate the idea of saying you want money. What we want is for you to have projects which will benefit your children even after you are gone.</blockquote>
Zipra Veterans Association spokesperson Buster Magwizi called on the government to return all properties which were confiscated from Zapu during the Gukurahundi period. Said Magwizi,
<blockquote>We have numerous valuable properties which we bought with our own money at independence and were taken by government in the 1980s. We still want them back. The deputy minister is talking about projects to empower war veterans, as Zipra we say why can’t they give us back our properties and assist us with capital?</blockquote>

Govt Promises To Finance Projects For Zipra War Veterans

Addressing war veterans from Bulawayo Province at Stanley Square in Makokoba suburb, Zanu-PF secretary for war veterans Victor Matemadanda warned no one is invincible in the party adding that no individual should think that he or she is bigger than the organisation.
Matemadanda said they removed former President Robert Mugabe after realising he was against the will of the people. Said Matemadanda:
<blockquote>We have some people among us who feel that they are bigger than Zanu-PF but they are not. Our own President, ED Mnangagwa is a servant yet we have people who think they are way bigger and better than everyone else. No-one is invincible in this party. We removed Robert Mugabe from power after realising that he was going against the will of the people. The power is in the people and at some point our lives were in danger and we were sleeping in the bush after some orders for us to be killed, but the long and short of it is that he is out and resting at Blue Roof and we are taking the struggle forward.</blockquote>

War veterans said they would hold a demo demanding the re-naming of Zimbabwe’s international airport formerly Harare International Airport, after Mugabe to be reversed. Matemadanda said war veterans were giving time to the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) proceedings as well as allowing their members from across the country to sign a petition to push the demand. Said Matemadanda:
<blockquote>The protest will go on, but we want to give a chance to the ConCourt proceedings. Once this process is finished, we will sit and make a determination on when and what time we will send the petition. We have also had representations from our members as far as Plumtree, who want to sign the petition so we would want to give them time to be part of the process.</blockquote>

War Veterans Postpone Anti-Mugabe Demo

The MDC notes with dismay the reckless, irresponsible and disgusting utterances by a one Victor Matemadanda at the ill-conceived press conference today at the Harare International conference centre.
We are aware of the ill-intention of the renegade grouping of these so called war veterans to intimidate the judiciary before the constitutional hearing and trial proceedings of the electoral fraud application filed by the MDC Alliance. The timing of the press conference and the vile utterances by the conveners smacks of a dirty scheme by Matemadanda and his cohorts to influence the outcome of the court and subvert the will of the people of Zimbabwe.
The MDC Alliance is not moved by such grandstanding and empty threats by an illegal grouping of charlatans bent on confusing court proceedings and shattering the dreams of the people of Zimbabwe. They do not want a fair hearing of the MDC Alliance electoral petition.
Matemadanda’s utterances are a clear affront to the independence, impartiality and integrity of the judiciary and must be condemned in the strongest terms by all progressive people of Zimbabwe.
The MDC respects the gallant heroes of the war of the liberation—both the deceased and the living–who fought for the right to universal suffrage of one man one vote which a few like Matemadanda misguidedly seek to overturn and disrespect.
As a party, we fully understand the anxiety of the nation around the upcoming Court Case where we are challenging the subversion of the will of the people by ZEC in cahoots with some rogue elements in our State institutions and we urge the people to remain resolute and steadfast on this cause.
Zimbabweans and our respected bench will not be intimidated by anyone. Zimbabweans are the masters of their own destiny.
We are our own liberators.
In the interest of our country, its people and the economy, we urge the people to be peaceful, strong and remain focused on the broader agenda of charting a new beginning free of corruption, violence and cronyism.
The MDC reiterates its call for peace and progress in the country. We would like to encourage the outgoing President Mnangagwa to note that the ZEC-led rigging scheme has failed. It is now imperative on him to take this opportunity and act as a mature war veteran. He needs to accept defeat, concede and allow Zimbabwe to move forward.
We are unequivocal that this idea that Africa’s strongmen never want to leave power after an election must come to an end. We need a new image for our continent.
For outgoing President Mnangagwa, history will judge him harshly for being part of remnants of a few African politicians who put their personal selfish interests ahead of the greater good of the nation. He must take this opportunity to negotiate a respectable exit and leave peacefully. An unnecessary and protracted battle will not benefit Zanu PF let alone the entire nation in the medium to long term.

War veterans leader and Deputy Minister of Defence (War Veterans) Victor Matemadanda has warned that Zanu-PF is going to purge all people found to be working with the G40 Faction and the MDC Alliance. He also warned people who work at Zanu-PF’s headquarters whose loyalty was questionable. Addressing war veterans Matemadanda said,
<blockquote>…heads will soon roll at Shake Shake building to bring sanity and order. Some officials working at party offices are still working with the G40 and G40 is the Gamatox which is a Rhodesian Reactionary Movement. Thus why NPF is joining hands with MDC Alliance, those are just desperate people who want positions and do not care about the revolution…My word of advice is that those who want to work for the party must not make us doubt them. We have the capacity to root them out. We will close that Shake Shake (Zanu-PF Headquarters) takavhomora vhomora vanhu (and pull out all the malcontents). Yes, we can do it. Makandipa manyawi ndozviita.
…The are some people at Shake Shake building who think they are so special. When they meet us they will behave as if they have come across a bucket of faeces. We want to get rid of those people.</blockquote>

Don't Make Us Doubt You, Heads Will Soon Roll At Zanu-PF Headquarters Warns Matemadanda

War veterans secretary-general and Deputy Minister for Defence (War Veterans) Victor Matemadanda has said that Zanu-PF needs to move on from having reruns of primary elections. Matemadanda acknowledged that there was rigging but called for people to move forward. Speaking at a war veterans’ outreach meeting, Matemadanda said,
<blockquote>… No, you must know that this is the game, I am happy that those who had not been involved in elections before now know there is cheating. So we are saying that we cannot keep on holding reruns while the party is dying…We now know there is cheating, theft of cell registers and stuffing of ballots. I am saying we must all be in the structures of the party and we must not be perpetually crying like the opposition which makes noise all the time when they know they will never rule this country anyway. I am here to say the party should move forward. We do not want people who say if this or that is not resolved we will do ‘bhora mudondo’.</blockquote>

Cheating Is Part Of Elections, We Need To Move On: Matemadanda Speaks On Zanu-PF Primary Elections

The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) has said that it will be engaging white people and other minority races to ensure that they contribute and are not left out of national issues. This is an about turn for the war veterans who were previously used by former president Robert Mugabe to run out white farmers at the height of the Fast Track Land Reform farm seizures.
In a statement, Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) secretary general Victor Matemadanda said:
<blockquote>The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association is going to engage minority groups in Zimbabwe who have been marginalized or excluded in our political, social and economic systems.
We are talking mainly about the whites, coloureds and those of Asian descent. We have decided that we must engage all races on the way forward in as far as how the country is to be managed.
We would want to hear them on the contribution they would want to make and also to make sure they are not left out on issues such as land reform.
All the things that are being done to the black majority should be extended to all ethnic groups in the country. They are Zimbabweans and obviously have an interest in how the country is governed; we cannot afford to leave them out. So we would want to sit down with them and hear their wishes.</blockquote>

Video: Mugabe has never been a good leader says war veterans

Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association (ZNLWVA) secretary-general, Victor Matemadanda has claimed that no war veterans have ever assaulted people during elections. Matemadanda claimed that the former freedom fighters did not have thugs among its ranks. This is despite the fact that war veterans have been blamed for violence towards opposition MDC-T supporters as well as former white farmers, some of whom died during the land invasions in 2000. Matemanda blamed the violence on “rogue war veterans” instead.
Speaking at the Samora Machel Memorial lecture at Dr Ibbo Mandaza’s SAPES Trust on Thursday, Matemadanda said:
<blockquote>It is not true that war veterans who fought in the liberation struggle are the ones that are being used to maim, beat up the people for the purpose of voting for a political party. Some militias were created.
When I got wounded in the war, the people of Mutoko kept me in a cave, treated me, did everything that they could so that I speak to you today and if you were to ask who is closer to me, those people and my leaders, I would choose to be with those people. But a person who would not have come through a situation like mine might be used.
….Yes there are war veterans who are called war veterans for the purpose of abuse and misuse but a war veteran that lived in the people, mobilised the people, fed by the people would not raise his or her arm to harm those people</blockquote>

War veterans’ secretary-general <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Victor_Matemadanda">Victor Matemadanda</a> told the Daily News,
<blockquote>We are happy <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Temba_Mliswa">Mliswa</a> won and <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_African_National_Union_-_Patriotic_Front">Zanu PF </a>should know that we are plotting another Norton for 2018 after realising that Zanu PF in its current state cannot be the vehicle with which the people’s aspirations can be realised, hence we will back a party that will field a candidate that we feel is incorruptible. We are going to support anyone who is going to represent the people’s aspirations with the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association (ZNLWVA) acting as a fair referee in the election. Should we come to the conclusion that there is none among the candidates that the parties will have fielded, we are in the process of amending our constitution ahead of our congress, and there the association will decide if it seconds its own candidate without it necessarily turning into a political party.</blockquote>
