263Chat reports the Premier Soccer League (PSL) is facing a serious shortage of stadiums ahead of the new season which kicks off this weekend as only seven pitches have been approved by ZIFA.
According to a memo by ZIFA which was exclusively seen by 263Chat, only the National Sports Stadium, Rufaro, Luveve, Gibbo, Baobab, Mandava Colliery and Barbourfields have been approved for use by the 16 teams in the PSL. Teams like Mushowani Stars who are based in Madziwa, Chapungu, who normally use Ascot Stadium in Gweru, Manica Diamond in Mutare, risk travelling long distances to adopt surrounding stadiums for their home. This will strain the budget of the teams which have traditionally survived on shoestring budgets as there will be travelling and hotel bookings expenses which will be incurred by the teams.
This also means teams in Harare will be sharing the two available stadiums, NSS and Rufaro, putting a strain on the worn out infrastructure.

PSL Faces Critical Shortage Of Stadiums Ahead Of 2019 Season

The Premier Soccer League have raked in almost $12 000 in fines imposed on clubs and officials for various offences in the first 10 games of the 2018 season.
Shabanie Mine accrued a total of $3 300. PSL debutants Mutare City were hit with a $2 000 fine, while their coach Joseph Takaringofa received a $1 150 fine for issuing reckless statements in the media implying bias after the match against Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab Stadium. Dynamos were slapped with a $2 000 fine after their fans threw missiles onto the pitch in their match against Yadah at Rufaro Stadium.
ZPC Kariba received a $1 250 fine for not travelling for their opening league game against FC Platinum at the National Sports Stadium and also forfeited the match on a 3-0 score line. CAPS United were handed a $1150 fine for delaying kick-off during their game against Bulawayo Chiefs and using a kit with the sponsor’s logo improperly secured as per PSL standard as well as using a kit with improperly printed names on the back of the shirt.
Three coaches, Tirivaviri Sithole of Chicken Inn, Robert Jiuro of Chapungu and Tichaona Diya of Harare City were slapped with $250 fines each for being expelled from the technical area for disorderly conduct and using abusive language towards referees during games.

The <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_Premier_Soccer_League">Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League</a> has rescheduled its programme and postponed Week 29 fixtures to allow national team coach Callisto Pasuwa to have another look at locally based players when the Warriors take on Tanzania in an international friendly this coming weekend.
