The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) released the 2024 November Advanced Level examination results on Friday, January 10th.
ZIMSEC board chairperson Professor Paul Mapfumo told journalists in Harare that the results would be available online via the ZIMSEC portal from 4 PM onwards, accessible for five days. Said Mapfumo:

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council board and management would like to advise the nation of the release of the 2024 November Advanced Level examination results.
With effect from today, 10 January 2025, 4 pm, Advanced Level examination candidates’ results will be accessible to all candidates and authorised personnel online through the ZIMSEC portal accessed through the ZIMSEC website <a href="https://www.zimsec.co.zw/">www.zimsec.co.zw</a>.
Please take note that this portal will be open for 5 days only. Heads of examination centres will be able to collect the results for their respective schools/centres from our regional offices on Monday, January 13, 2025.

The pass rate in 2024 was 94.58%, maintaining the same level as in 2023. Said Mapfumo:

The total number of candidates who sat for the November 2024 examinations was 33 585 compared to 34 437 in 2023. This translates to a decrease of 852 in candidature yielding a percentage decrease of 2.47.
33 246 candidates wrote 2 or more subjects in November 2024 compared to 34 060 who wrote the examination in 2023.
For those who wrote two or more subjects, 31 443 obtained Grade E or better in two or more subjects. This translates to 94.58% pass rate.
In November 2023, however, 34 060 candidates wrote two or more subjects and 32 221 obtained Grade E or better in two or more subjects translating to a percentage pass rate of 94.60.
The national pass rate for 2024 and that of 2023 is, therefore, the same.

<li>You’ll then land on a page where you can fill out the relevant details. (If you are already registered then you can enter your details)</li>
<li>Once registered return to the <a href="https://dcmv1.zimsec.co.zw/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">home page</a> and enter your username and password.</li>
<li>You should be able to see the student’s ZIMSEC A-Level results online.</li>

ZIMSEC just released the A' Level exam results for November 2024. Students can check their results online starting from 4 PM on January 10, 2025, for five days. The results will be on the ZIMSEC website. School heads can get the results for their schools on January 13, 2025. ZIMSEC Releases 2024 November A' Level Results

An 18-year-old woman from Murisa Park, Unit O, Chitungwiza, has been sentenced to 210 hours of community service by the Harare Magistrates’ Court for forging her Ordinary Level results.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Shamiso Pretty Bvukure was arraigned before the court for contravening the Zimbabwe Examination Act.
The court heard that on October 11, 2024, the Police General Headquarters recruiting section requested verification of Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) results for several applicants.
Upon verification, police discovered that Bvukure’s results slip was forged, with alterations in Mathematics (from U to C), English Language (from U to B), Shona Language (from E to A), and History (from U to A). Combined Science and Commerce were also added to the slip.
Bvukure was arrested, subsequently appeared in court, and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, with 6 months suspended for 5 years.
The remaining 6 months were suspended on the condition that she complete 210 hours of community service.

An 18-year-old girl named Shamiso from Chitungwiza was caught with fake exam results when she tried to join the police. She changed her grades to make them look better. She was caught and sentenced to do community service for 210 hours. The police found out about the forgery when they checked her results. Shamiso was given a 1-year prison sentence, but only has to go to jail for 6 months. She has to finish community service to avoid the other 6 months in jail.

Chitungwiza Teen Attempts To Join ZRP Using Forged O-Level Results

The Government has warned schools that withholding results from candidates with school fees arrears will not go unpunished.
Some schools withhold ZIMSEC results from candidates with school fees arrears to force parents and guardians to pay up because in most cases, once candidates get the results, the parents will simply not clear the arrears.
However, the Permanent Secretary for Primary and Secondary Education Moses Mhike reminded schools that it is illegal to withhold results. He said (via <a href="https://www.herald.co.zw/zimsec-o-level-govt-warns-schools-withholding-results/">The Herald</a>):

The policy from the ministry is very clear and we have always been saying that when it comes to examinations, the contract is between ZIMSEC and the candidate and there is no way the school comes in, in terms of withholding the results.
As a ministry, we will not tire and we will continue to outline the policy. I am also happy to say that we have been getting a lot of feedback from people who have been telling us names of the schools and we have gone in there to carry out our investigations and we have taken appropriate action.
Even during the tours that we have been doing with the minister, we emphasised that action will be taken against non-compliant schools. We will not fold our hands and we will not tire.
I would urge you to continue to supply us with the information and we will take appropriate action guided by our Statutory Instrument as guided by the Public Service Commission.

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) released the November 2023 Ordinary Level results on Monday.
The results for all candidates are available online through the ZIMSEC portal accessed through their website: <a href="https://www.zimsec.co.zw/">www.zimsec.co.zw</a>.
They will be accessible on the ZIMSEC portal for only five days from 3 PM on Monday, 22 January.
Heads of examination centres were advised to collect the results for their respective schools or centres from ZIMSEC’s regional offices beginning yesterday.
ZIMSEC board chairperson Eddie Mwenje said that the percentage pass rate for female candidates was at 30.1 while that of males was at 29.06.
