Career
After Graduating from the academy, Amidu had been training with Dynamos since returning from a tour to Switzerland with Aces Youth Soccer Academy, but it appeared that Dynamos were taking their time to decide on snapping the youthful player whom they wanted to give a five-year contract. Amazulu coach Craig Rosslee and his assistant Wilfred Mugeyi were convinced that the player has potential and gave him a two-year contract to join Amazulu. Brett was only to return from Amazulu after a short spell to rejoin Dynamos in the PSL where his brother was playing for Caps United FC.
His brother Abbas commented on being reunited with his brother and the chances that were imminently rising for both of the famous Amidu Family saying:
I think for Bret I’m very happy and impressed by the way he has been playing. I give a lot of credit to the coaches that are now giving him some game time.
“In the past I think the coaches did not believe in my brother but now he has a chance to show what he can do and I’m very happy.
“I’m looking forward to the trials that we will attend together in Germany. It is an equal chance for both of us,” Abbas told H-Metro.
These were statements after a big chance arrived for the brothers linked to Germany.[2]
