Farai Rugoyi (known more as Farai Munashe) is a Zimbabwean Gospel musician. He is the leader of his band Blessed Generation. Together, they have released 6 albums to date. Some of his most popular songs are Vongai Jehovah, Munodadisa, Mbiri Kuna Baba, Muhupenyu, Mandipa Mufaro, Hunyoro neNyasha Part 1 and Mutsvene Ndiyamure, which have received airplay on Radio Zimbabwe and National FM.

Background

Rugoyi was born in Highfield and then he moved to Murehwa with his parents. His primary schooling was done at Hokodzi Primary School, and Secondary School at Rota High School and Speciss College respectively.

Music Career

Rugoyi has said that he is inspired by a desire to see many people come to the knowledge of God, his word and Jesus Christ. According to him, his music is mainly inspired by the word of God, and by what he sees happening in his life and in the community
