John Phiri is one of the most prominent yesteryear football icons who also played for the popular Reinhard Fabisch Dream Team where he gained prominence in the defence department.
Career
John had a very rewarding career playing with the national side while playing under Fabisch. Playing alongside other talented defenders such as Henry McKop and Ephraim Chawanda, the squad had one of the most reliable defense walls and even managed an unbeaten home record of 13 matches.

John Phiri is also a prominent figure in the country's football arena where he is a regular on ZBC TV as a soccer analyst.[1]

In 2013 it was reported that Phiri had filed his papers for consideration for various positions within the football governing body.[1]
