Simbisa Brands is a fast food outlet company in Africa with its roots in Zimbabwe. The company was a subsidiary of the Innscor Africa Limited group until 2015 when it was unbundled and listed seperately on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.
Background
Innscor had directly operated its fast-food business brands which had been established with the opening of the first Chicken Inn outlet in 1987. On 5th August 2015 Simbisa was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Innscor. Effective 1st October 2015 Simbisa acquired, through a scheme of reconstruction, all the assets and liabilities of the QSR Business from Innscor in exchange for 541,593,440 shares in the company.
All the former Innscor fast food brands (see list below) are now owned and operated directly by Simbisa Brands.
Simbisa also owns the master license to other successful brands such as Galito’s Africa, Nando’s (Zimbabwe only), Steers (Zimbabwe only), and Vida E Caffé.

11 years after opening its first outlet, Innscor In 1998 Innscor listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange. The company then opened outlets in Zambia, Kenya, and Ghana.
